DELCO REMY GENERATOR MODEL 1101899 20 AMP -- 225 € Denso Alternator Plane Power Alternator options summarized as of Feb 21, 2006 by a SWPC member. http://home.earthlink.net/~andy2220/id4.html 1. InterAv has an STC'd Alternator conversion that runs about $600+ for the kit. 2. Several SWPC members have installed a Denso Alternator available from Niagara Air Parts. Their advertisement can be found in Trade-A-Plane or the internet. The alternator has the regulator built in. Some installs have included external overvoltage protection, while others have relied on the regulator. Cost of alternator and hardware is about $275. Field Approval through a FSDO is required. Several Field Approval 337's available on the SWPC Home website and some available on this site (In the SWPC Home site page go to Maintenance Documents and then 337's. Look for DENSO Alternator Installation. Some FSDO's are good to work with and others will not have anything to do with it. Check with your mechanic. 3. Plane Power. I used an AL12-50 Description: 12/14 volt, 70 amp*, replaces InterAv generator conversion alternators on LYCOMING engines. I also had to purchase a Zeftronics controller ZEF R15VOL (May have to cut and paste this link to get it to work) This Alternator is STC'd for several aircraft types and is an STC replacement for the InterAv installation in option (1) above. One member beleives the alternator ' used in the STC by Plane Power is the Denso unit with a different pulley. Approx cost of the kit and STC is under $500.
